Southwark
Southwark Station is currently a single storey London Underground station, serving as an important transport hub in a central location. The second of three initial sites in our Platinum portfolio JV with Places for London, we have recently re-secured a resolution to grant consent at planning committee following the listing of the station. The scheme will deliver high quality student accommodation above the existing station building, complete with a separate adjacent affordable housing block.

The new proposals significantly decrease the height and massing of the previously consented scheme as well as retaining and enhancing Joan Street as part of the enhancements to local biodiversity and urban greening.
The Gateway Two application has been submitted to the Regulator and Keltbray have commenced preparatory works on site. Permanent works are scheduled to start later this year with overall completion scheduled for 2029.
